When Koleliniа first launched their Halfbike on Kickstarter in 2015, it became the most successful vehicle project to date on the platform. Now, the Sofia-based company has released the latest version of the popular design. Optimized, upgraded, and perfected, Halfbike 3 is better than the original. The design aims to evoke child-like curiosity and a sense of adventure in the one who uses it while also allowing urban riders to see their city from a new perspective.
This compact, lightweight stand-up vehicle makes going from point A to B more fun. At the same time, the user gets a full body workout with every ride. Learning to ride a Halfbike takes some adjustment, but most people master the basics in around 15 minutes. Then they only have to keep riding until everything clicks. Just like it did when they first learned to ride a bike.
This new version of the Halfbike features several improvements. Thanks to a tweaked geometry and adjusted proportions, Halfbike 3 is more ergonomic as well as extra user friendly and easier to maneuver, giving more control to the rider. Other new features include virtually maintenance-free drum brakes, more gears for comfortable riding on an array of surfaces, and a state-of-the-art Sturmey-Archer hub. The lightweight Halfbike 3 is compact as well as foldable, so you can take it anywhere with ease. The brand’s new Kickstarter campaign is already more than halfway funded, only a few hours after launch. Prices start from $449 for the early-bird packages, with shipping starting from June, 2019.
