The Hope Lamp

Inspired by ancient Roman sculptures and traditional pottery, the Hope table lamp boasts organic, curved forms made from ceramic.

Elegant, organic and decidedly modern, the Hope table lamp from German brand Maytoni brightens spaces with a gentle light while adding a sculptural accent to a room’s decor. To design it, Alexey Danilin looked to the past for inspiration; specifically, to ancient Roman statues and traditional pottery objects. As a result, Hope boasts curved forms connected by a central element, all arranged in a symmetrical geometry. Crafted from ceramic, the lamp glows with a soft light that bounces off the glazed material.

While designed to illuminate living spaces in style, Hope is also manufactured with sustainability in mind. As it’s made from up to 90% ceramic, the lamp allows users to recycle it with ease when the time comes.

The internal LED illuminates through the central gap, behind a matte diffuser, with the glow softly reflecting off the surface of the ceramic. On top of the vertical element that connects the two sides of the lamp, a metal sphere acts as both an on/off switch and a dimmer. Users can easily accentuate or lower the intensity of the light by simply touching the sphere.

Maytoni offers the Hope table lamp in three versions: textured white, glossy white, and cashmere. Additionally, the lamp comes with a satin brass or a glossy platinum sphere, providing elegant ways to brighten a bedroom, living room or home office.
