Stefan Sagmeister New York Studio

View all 4 Photos

Consider the blank canvas that stares at an artist.  The few moments before the creativity starts to reveal itself, edge to edge waits patiently white. So the reflective studio of graphic designer and typographer Stefan Sagmeister of NY presents a clean slate every day at the office of Sagmeister and Walsh Inc. Neat and tight their minimal efficiency is tucked in the heart of Chelsea.  Most of the furnishings, appliances, architecture run seamlessly blank into the washed hard wood floors, decorative ceiling tiles, and built ins. Like walking through a Mac notebook, the space invites designers to immerse themselves into the digital world, from the sleek seats with webbing base, to the Pantone like bookcase collection.
