High-end design cues blend with eco-friendly materials.
Inspired by sports shoes but featuring details usually found in formal footwear, the new Biotrainer from FEIT finds the perfect balance between casual and stylish. Launched just in time for fall, the silhouette comes in two versions. The Biotrainer Low references runners, while Biotrainer High reminds of old-school high top basketball shoes. Both version feature FEIT’s usual exquisite craftsmanship. Handmade by one master craftsman from start to finish, Biotrainer combines a hand-sewn, low-pile English suede upper with a buffalo leather footbed that offers support, padding, and comfort while absorbing moisture and minimizing odors.
Vegetable-tanned and breathable, the low-pile suede leather is soft to the touch and will develop more character with age. The heel counters feature high-grade leather accents, taking cues from high-end men’s dress shoes. Designed with sustainability in mind, the Biotrainer introduces an industry first. The 100% biodegradable rubber sole contains no plastic. Crafted from natural latex rubber in a complex process that lasts two weeks, the sole is durable and tough as well as lightweight and naturally flexible. You can find the two handcrafted suede shoes now on FEIT’s website. Biotrainer Low costs $500, while Biotrainer High retails at $550. Photographs© FEIT.
