Swiss watch brand Ulysse Nardin has a deep rooted link to the U.S. Navy that goes back to 1905. The company has also built a reputation as a leading diving watch manufacturer, creating cutting-edge timepieces loved by divers and collectors in equal measure. In 2019, the brand partnered with non-profit organization One More Wave for a special, limited edition design: the Diver Deep Dive “One More Wave” watch. Founded in 2015, One More Wave helps disabled veterans with ocean therapy, providing custom surfing equipment and assistance. The organization also operates a workshop that crafts custom surfboards. “Surfing is actually one of the most effective therapies we’ve ever found for combating depression as well as post-traumatic stress,” says Kyle Buckett, Managing Director of One More Wave.

The limited edition Diver Deep Dive “One More Wave” watch honors OMW. At the same time, the launch aims to raise funds for the organization. The bold timepiece features a black and yellow color palette and draws inspiration from both surfing and amphibious warfare. It comes with a black DLC titanium case with a satin finish and the organization’s logo engraved at the back. Water-resistant to 1000m, the watch has a decompression valve at 9 o’clock, unidirectional rotating bezel, and crown at 2 o’clock. The 46mm case houses a Calibre UN-320 Manufacture movement and comes with a black rubber strap. Priced at $13,500, the Ulysse Nardin Diver Deep Dive “One More Wave” watch is exclusive to USA, with proceeds from sales going to OMW. Photographs© Aidan Demolli, Ulysse Nardin.
