A minimalist space that captures a Korean studio’s approach to furniture, object, and interior design.

Located in Seoul, South Korea, the uneg Office is the minimalist workspace of the Korean design studio. The understated interior design and the carefully chosen material palette showcase the design firm’s focus on capturing and refining the essence and distinct properties of objects and spaces. Quiet and serene, the office serves both as a creative studio and as a gallery space for uneg’s designs.

The Uneg Office - Gessato

One wall of the office boasts a glass and aluminum shelving unit filled with objects, decorative items, and books. Opposite, there are two identical desks joined to create a large work area. An aluminum chair rests against a wall, while next to it a narrow shelving unit rises tall to provide the perfect display space for a variety of objects. The studio used both polished and matte finishes for the metal elements, resulting in surfaces that reflect or soften the light.

Designed by uneg, a wall-mounted cabinet hides its purpose behind a mirror. This multi-functional piece also amplifies the light coming from the windows on the other side of the room. Other elements include an aluminum and leather bench, a meeting table with chairs, and plant pots that bring a touch of nature inside the workspace. A marble floor adds an elegant touch to the entire space while complementing the textured wall finishes. Modern and minimalist, the office’s bespoke design celebrates the studio’s exploration of materiality and essential forms, bringing together past designs in a space that encourages sparks of inspiration for future creations.
