VIKS Carbon, a Lightweight Contender

View all 12 Photos

To celebrate their second birthday, VIKS has reimagined their flagship design in a sleeker, lighter model. Built with a carbon fiber frame instead of the usual steel, the VIKS Carbon is 42% lighter than the standard model, weighing in at an impressive 10 kg (22 lbs) total. Adhering to the company’s commitment to quality merchandise, the carbon tubes are all custom built for VIKS and still utilize the same twin tube frame design that put them on the map. This new model comes just in time for the Eurobike 2015 show in Friedrichshafen, Germany, where it will be on display as part of the VIKS event booth, and available to try out. While currently built in a small edition, VIKS seems set on bringing it out to the consumer in the near future, which is quite an accomplishment for a two year old, an age when most people haven’t even learned how to ride a bike yet.
