The Wing Lounge Chair

An elegant lounge chair that enhances comfort with a curved backrest.

Designed by by Katerina Lisakovich for ODESD2, the Wing lounge chair aims to bring childhood memories to mind. More specifically, the design maximizes the feeling of comfort with a silhouette that “hugs” the user to create an intimate, safe, and cozy space. Elegant and plush, the chair draws inspiration from the furniture of the ‘40s and 50s. It features a solid ash and plywood build, with the backrest curving to embrace the user. The wide seating area offers generous space. It invites you to curl up with a cup of good coffee and a good book. At the same time, it offers plenty of room for two people to sit comfortably.

The weighty feel of the thick wood seat anchors and balances the graceful backrest, along with the slightly tapered legs. Plush cushions with a woven fabric upholstery complete the design. Like the solid materials, they are also perfectly balanced with one another. The seat cushion has an elastic, bouncy feel for more comfort, while the back cushion is extra soft and the round one provides perfect support for the lower back. Photographs© ODESD2.
