Woodguards, Wood Mud Guards by Squaretree

View all 14 Photos

It’s about time that bicycle mudguards received a makeover! Squaretree, an Edinburgh-based duo, provides a stylish and elegant solution: Woodguards. These guards that fit over the wheels of a bike shun the cheap look of plastic and defer to carved and crafted panels of wood. Varieties include a dark chestnut, a classic walnut, or even the trademark striations of macassar ebony. What makes Woodguards an even more delightful accessory is the use of the inner face of the curved mudguard; these inside panels get painted a bright color, with offerings such as blaze red and arctic blue.
