Established by Chrissy Fichtl in 2011, Apotheke is a Brooklyn-based fragrance and grooming brand that focuses on making quality products by hand. A year after launch, the brand opened the first Apotheke factory. The company makes all of its products locally, using quality ingredients, some of them sourced directly from farms. A celebration of life’s simple moments, the brand’s collection features an array of fragrances and body care products with beautiful scents that include floral and botanical notes. The Charcoal Collection has a woodsy fragrance that has inspired its name.
Made with cedar and sandalwood, these products also feature smoky amber and oud notes in a warm and full-bodied fragrance. This line includes a range of items, from bar soap and liquid soap to lotions and candles. While the soap and candles are carefully made by hand, each fragrance is blended in the brand’s Brooklyn factory. The handcrafted bar soap is all-natural and cleanses as well as moisturizes the skin. It features 3 types of sustainable oil: a moisturizing coconut base, olive, and palm oil, along with fine essential oils. Made by hand using cold-process techniques, each bar is also hand-cut.
For the liquid soap and plant-based lotion, the brand used aloe vera as a main ingredient thanks to the plant’s healing, anti-aging, and moisturizing qualities. Both the lotion and the liquid soap feature natural botanical ingredients and essential oils, leaving a fresh natural scent on the skin. The candles boast a high-quality soy wax blend. Hand-poured, each candle features perfume-grade fragrance oils. Thank to the specially designed wick, the Charcoal candles have a clean, long burn. Customers can choose between the single wick or the larger, 3-wick candles. The Charcoal Collection also includes a reed diffuser and a votive candle along with convenient soap sets.
