Made with function in mind, the new Blanco sofa prototype by Hamanishi DESIGN draws inspiration from the classic deck chair to offer a convenient seating option for modern interiors. Kunikazu Hamanishi designed the folding sofa with a focus on practical features. At the same time, the creative build also influenced the distinctive design. The two-seater Blanco sofa comes with a simple tubular frame and a plush cushion as well as two leather belts.
Sent flat-packed for easy shipping, the sofa is easy to both assemble and disassemble when needed. The user can attach the cushion to the powder-coated steel frame via rods. The final step includes the tightening of the leather belts at both ends. Apart from adding an eye-catching accent, the belts also secure the X-frame. Stylish and creative, the folding sofa provides an ideal balance between modern design, comfort, and function.
