Published by Phaidon, Dieter Rams: The Complete Works celebrates the renowned industrial designer in a special way. The book brings together the entirety of Dieter Rams‘ product design work in a spectacular catalogue raisonné. A must-have for design lovers in general and fans of Dieter Rams’ “Less, but better” approach to design, the book features some iconic products. Many of them have influenced the world of contemporary design as we know it. From the well-known Braun SK-4 record player to the Universal Shelving System and the 620 Chair Programme designed for Vitsœ, the book showcases Dieter Rams’ “Ten principles for good design” philosophy.

Simple and minimalist as well as practical and innovative, his designs continue to inspire young designers today. Written by Klaus Klemp, the hardcover book features 344 pages with 300 illustrations that take the reader through Rams’ prolific career that includes some of the most iconic audio systems and furniture of the 20th century. Dieter Rams: The Complete Works has a publishing date of October 28 2020 for the US. Europe and the rest of the world can get the book a bit earlier, on October 15 2020.
