The iconic motorcycle brand launches its first electric bicycle.
Following on the footsteps of Harley-Davidson’s first electric motorcycle lunched in 2019, Serial 1 is the legendary brand’s first electric bicycle. Designed for commuters, urban cyclists, and first-timers, the bike will have electric assistance to provide extra power while riding. Which means that you’ll finally be able to arrive at work on a Harley. Both the design of the Serial 1 e-bike and its name reference the heritage of Harley-Davidson. “Serial 1” refers to the nickname of the brand’s first motorcycle, while its sleek good-looks draw inspiration from the 1903 bike. As a result, the bike features eye-catching white wheels along with vintage-style handlebars. The design celebrates the brand’s history but also provides a fresh take on urban e-bikes.
While the bicycle’s technical specs are currently a mystery, Serial 1 seems to have a motor mounted on the middle of the frame, hidden cabling and a built-in battery that keep the clean look of the design intact, and some integrated lighting for more visibility at night. Serial 1 will make its official debut in Spring, 2021. However, the brand will release more details about the design on November 16, 2020.
