Celebrating excellence in photography.

One of the most prestigious photography competitions in the world, the biennial Hasselblad Masters contest invites both professionals and newcomers to show their artistic skill. The 2018 competition received 31,500 entries, breaking previous records. With 11 categories, the images included everything from urban architecture and wild landscapes to conceptual photos and portraits. After choosing the winners of the 2018 Hasselblad Masters competition, the iconic brand honors the talent of the photographers with a special book. Like in previous years, the winners received a new Hasselblad camera along with an invitation to take part in a collaborative project with a unifying theme.

The Hasselblad Masters Volume 6: Innovate celebrates excellence in photography while showcasing the individual creativity of each winning photographer. Using the medium format camera, the winners created outstanding work following the “Innovate” theme. The full-page format book displays the photographers’ talent in beautiful detail and color, cementing their Hasselblad Master title. The book features a variety of images, from fine art scenes and portraits to pastel landscapes, among other striking photos. Apart from the gorgeous visuals, the book also features passages from each photographer, giving insight into their work. Biographies and glimpses into their artistic inspirations are also included. A must-have book for all photography lovers, Hasselblad Masters Volume 6: Innovate is now available though the brand’s website. Photographs© Hasselblad.
