Introducing Electrified S the new Vanmoof Electric Bicycle

View all 7 Photos

Despite the various advantages it brings, the electric bicycle hasn’t been embraced yet by a majority of cyclists. Vanmoof aims to change this with a stylish bike design that offers convenience and functionality via smart technology. Featuring both beauty and brains, the Electrified S model reinvents the e-bike to offer commuters the best way of getting from one place to another in a busy city and look chic at the same time. The electronics are integrated within the slender frame, but unlike the first model launched by Vanmoof in 2014, the S version also provides a wide range of smart technology. There is a keyless locking mechanism which can be activated via Bluetooth and a digital touchpad allowing the rider to quickly see the speed, battery life, power level, and the traveled distance. Owners will have access to a convenient app that can be used to lock the bicycle with the touch of a button, while also providing a reliable tracking system which will give crucial assistance in the event of theft. The bike offers 2.5 times the range of its predecessor, and comes with an integrated LED lamp. Lightweight, slim, but superpowered, Electrified S can complete a distance of 120 km with fully charged batteries and can reach a speed of 32 km per hour. Available in gray, black, or in a limited edition white version, the bike can be pre-ordered now from the company’s website. Images courtesy of Vanmoof.
