The Junghans Max Bill Black and White Series

The minimalist series of watches enhanced with a black and white palette.

Designed to celebrate the legacy of the renowned architect and designer Max Bill, the eponymous watch series from Junghans features a minimalist design that highlights the refinement of thoughtful details. The brand has expanded the line over the years, from a special edition that celebrated 100 years of Bauhaus to the 2018 timepiece that brought a touch of color to the collection. Now, Junghans has added four more watches to the Max Bill range. The Junghans Max Bill 2020 series explores the sharpness and clarity achieved by pairing contrasting black and white elements. Naturally, it enhances the understated aesthetic of the collection further. To complement the purity of the white dial, the brand used matte anthracite cases with a PVD finish. Both the numerals and the hands have a luminescent finish to ensure optimal readability.

The collection comprises four timepieces. The Max Bill Chronoscope has a 40mm case and a J880.2 self-winding movement with a power reserve of up to 48 hours, while the Quartz model comes with a 38mm case and a J645.33 Quartz movement. Available with regular (38mm) and small (34mm) cases, the Max Bill Automatic watches have a J800.1 self-winding movement. All of the watches from the Junghans Max Bill 2020 line have a date function and a scratch-resistant domed plexiglass. These timepieces also come with gray calf leather straps with a PVD-coated buckle. Photographs© Junghans.
