To celebrate a new partnership with Land Rover, Zenith has designed a special edition watch that pays homage to a very special year for both companies. In 1969, Zenith launched its first automatic chronograph, El Primero, while Land Rover introduced the iconic Range Rover, so the elegant and sleek Zenith El Primero Range Rover features nods to both events in its sleek and elegant design. The 42mm case is made of ceramicized aluminum in matte black, referencing the chassis of the Range Rover, and comes with sapphire crystal covers on the front and back; the latter provides a perfect view of the El Primero 400 B movement, which is a modern upgrade of the 1969 movement. On the brushed dark gray dial, the name of the two brands are added at the center; the rhodium-plated hands and hour markings are coated with SuperLuminova SLN C1, for optimum visibility in low-light conditions. Three sub-dials and a date window add more functionality to the stylish timepiece. The watch comes with a black rubber strap that features an ivory calfskin top layer boasting a perforated pattern and a black PVD-coated titanium clasp. Ultimately, this special edition watch will please not only fans of the two companies, but also those who love refined, elegant watches that look contemporary and timeless at the same time.
