Estonia-based Renard Speed Shop, one of the most respected custom motorcycles workshops in Europe, has recently completed this gorgeous BMW R90/6. Just glancing at the bike, we’d say the team’s reputation is well-deserved. Inspired by Georg ‘Schorsch’ Meier’s BMW Type 255 Kompressor which took him across the finish line at the 1939 Isle of Man TT race, this café racer has a strong vintage vibe. “The main goal was to build a factory racer-style bike that still had great riding properties, and I think it turned out great,” founder Andres Uibomäe says.

Sent to the workshop in great condition, the base BMW R90 motorcycle still underwent a complete makeover. The team stripped the bike and replaced the gas tank with a custom, slimmed down and elongated Moto Guzzi Vt Special. Other major changes include a slimmer subframe at the back with a new LED taillight, shortened front shocks, Borrani rims – which include a Triumph Bonneville system on the front – as well as overhauled brakes and a rebuilt engine with two air intake trumpets. The bike also features a new Motogadget M-Unit, an electronic ignition, a custom box for the battery, and a brand new leather seat. The result? A beautiful motorcycle that looks timeless and ready to take on the road. Photo credits: Renard Speed Shop.
