Simple design as simple solution is a great theme to attribute to Olli Mustikainen and Jari Nyman’s collaborative works, BÖRD and RÄCK. The two pieces, respectively a lamp and a coat rack, share the similar silhouette of a long cylinder. BÖRD references the common bird, and with a pat on the head, the pointed “beak” transforms into a beacon of light that directly overlooks to illuminate. Colorful varieties also include height options from the desk-appropriate to standing lamp. RÄCK is a totem pole of hooks, each segment able to rotate freely, so that hangers and items don’t collide as is the case with static coat racks. Because of the grace and modesty in design, it is irresistible to get one without the other!
