Lighthouse for Rent in Sicily

A lighthouse for rent in Sicily designed with elegant and contemporary interiors.

As far as exclusive accommodations go, a renovated lighthouse for rent with comfortable rooms that overlook the sea scores high on any traveler’s list. However, the Brucoli lighthouse also has a rich history and provides truly spectacular views. Located in Sicily, between the towns of Siracusa and Catania, the lighthouse is close to the 15th century Aragonese Castle and Val di Noto, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The structure dates back to 1911 and underwent a thoughtful renovation.

Completed by Itinera Associate Studio, the restoration process involved preserving the character and original features of the abandoned lighthouse while transforming its interiors completely.  The team used environmentally responsible building techniques and materials to convert the old lighthouse into a refined villa. Open to the sea on three sides, this lighthouse for rent offers breathtaking views of Mount Etna in the distance.

The interiors are distinctly contemporary but elegantly minimalist. On the ground level, there’s a living room with a fireplace, a dining room, and a well-equipped kitchen. The kitchen opens to a spacious outdoor space where guests can enjoy some al fresco dining. A suspended metal staircase leads to the upper floor that contains three bedrooms. The Brucoli lighthouse also features three bathrooms and a study along with several outdoor areas. The rooftop terrace boasts vibrant tile flooring and offers access to striking views of the castle.

Throughout the lighthouse for rent, the studio used furniture from Italian brand Molteni&C. They include the D.151.4 armchairs and D.552.2 coffee table designed by Gio Ponti, Rodolfo Dordoni’s Fulham bed, and Nicola Gallizia’s Attico and Domino tables. Guests also have access to a wine cellar, a barbecue, and a Jacuzzi. The latter offers the perfect solution to relax while admiring the beauty of the Sicilian coast.
