An elegant leather and wood electric scooter.
Designed by Mikiya Kobayashi Studio, ILY-Ai offers a more elegant twist on standard electric scooter designs. The studio developed this elegant wood electric scooter in a collaboration with Aisin; the well-known manufacturer produces automotive parts as well as lifestyle and wellness products. Karimoku, one of the largest wood manufacturers in Japan, also contributed to bring the scooter to life. Made of solid chestnut wood and aluminum, ILY-Ai boasts organic shapes. The curved forms not only give the design a more refined look but also maximize comfort. A padded leather seat enhances the feeling of comfort further.
Ideal for both indoor and outdoor public use, the wood electric scooter aims to offer a convenient way to travel over short distances. The studio created the design to suit anyone, but especially people who have mobility issues. Beautiful and modern, ILY-Ai is also smart. In its curved body, it features hidden, high-end technology, including a safety sensor that stops the scooter in front of obstacles. The sit-down design with a padded leather seat provides a cozy way to travel, while the elegant silhouette ensures that ILY-Ai looks great anywhere it goes.
