The Navy Lounge Rocker expands the Navy Lounge collection to offer even more ways to unwind in style. The design cleverly reimagines the classic American wooden rocking chair as a modern piece of furniture with roots in Emeco’s heritage. Like the iconic chairs produced by the company in the 1940s for the US Navy, this rocker features a recycled aluminum frame. The one-piece, handcrafted frame goes through a meticulous process that involves shaping, welding, heat-treating, and brushing – all techniques completed by hand in Hanover, Pennsylvania. As a result, the sturdy aluminum structure comes with a lifetime warranty.
“Built with the resilience of a navy ship, but made for slowing down. The Navy Lounge Rocker brings gentle movement, quiet comfort, and an easy sense of calm. A little motion can change the mood of a room,” said Gregg Buchbinder, Emeco.
As for the upholstery, it comes in indoor-only leather and fabric as well as outdoor-friendly textiles and custom materials, offering endless décor enhancement options. Plus, removable cushion covers allow users to easily maintain the rocker looking pristine or update the upholstery as needed.
